A heat pump upgrades low-grade heat, and storage makes that heat available on demand. Together they replace fossil peak boilers.
The Loop
- Recover low-grade heat from exhaust or air-source streams.
- The heat pump lifts it to distribution temperature.
- Storage banks it for the peak, as in peak shaving.
Isolation Where Needed
When the source is dusty or hygiene-sensitive, keep it in an isolated plate exchanger so the pump and store stay clean, the same rule used for food and pharma recovery. The synergy delivers low-carbon heat exactly when the network needs it.
