Demand drivers
China dual-carbon (3060) targets, plus a national push for green-hydrogen demonstration and CCUS clusters, are creating the fastest-growing demand for heat-recovery cores outside data centers. New industrial permits increasingly require energy-efficiency and heat-reuse provisions.
Product-mix shift
Buyers are requesting more corrosion-resistant polymer (PP) cores for coastal and wet-duty sites and all-welded plates for hotter, more aggressive streams. As the data-center and BESS boom showed, capacity can tighten during policy-driven surges.
What it means for buyers
Source earlier, lock production slots, and verify efficiency test data and corrosion certifications up front. Suppliers with in-house core production and engineering support will be the constraint, not raw capacity. See also the 2026 export outlook.
