Flue gas from boilers and process stacks is hot, moist and corrosive. CNCSP corrosion-resistant recovery cuts energy use and supports white-plume (xiaobai) elimination.
The challenge
Flue gas carries SOx, moisture and particulates that attack standard metals. Recovery must capture both sensible and (where compatible) latent heat without rapid corrosion or plume formation.
How air-to-air heat recovery helps
Use corrosion-proof plate cores - 316L, all-welded or polymer (PP) - for sensible and enthalpy recovery in flue-gas trains. White-plume (xiaobai) systems combine sensible plus latent recovery with materials matched to the gas.
Recommended CNCSP exchangers
- 316L / all-welded plate cores - for corrosive flue gas.
- Polymer (PP) air-to-air cores - extreme corrosion resistance.
- Sensible + latent (xiaobai) recovery - no standard rotary in dirty gas.
Typical configuration
| Parameter | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Recovery type | Sensible and / or latent (xiaobai) |
| Corrosion | 316L / all-welded / PP |
| Core material | Matched to flue composition |
| Arrangement | Boiler / process stack |
| Options | White-plume elimination |
