The Incoterms that matter
EXW means you collect from the factory; FOB means the seller loads at the port; CIF adds freight and insurance; DDP means the seller handles duties to your door. Each shifts cost and risk differently, so match the term to your logistics capability.
Packaging fragile cores
Air-to-air cores have thin foil that dents easily. Export crates should include desiccant, edge protection and clear fragile marking, especially for long ocean transit.
Plan for real transit time
Budget 6 to 10 weeks port-to-port depending on route and season, longer at Chinese New Year and peak shipping periods. Build that into your project schedule rather than the supplier lead time alone.
